Special Prayer Request from Shannon...
Over the past several months I’ve been reviewing many BLAST applications, and it’s been... well... a BLAST! I’m ecstatic to learn of the hopes and dreams of many aspiring writers & speakers, and am so honored to have the opportunity to mentor them as they strive to effectively communicate the messages God has laid on their hearts.
We kick off the program NEXT MONTH on
September 13th! In case you’re wondering, these 40 bold men and women range in ages from early 20s to late 50s, representing 10 different states, 2 Canadian provinces, and three other countries (Australia, South Africa, & Sweden). About one-third of the group will be traveling to Lindale for our live meetings each month, and the other two-thirds will participate through online technology. Messages burning on their hearts include saving the unborn, abolition of human trafficking, equipping youth as leaders, abstinence education & healthy sexuality, crime victim advocacy, overcoming eating disorders, self-esteem & identity issues, etc.
Would you please join us in prayer for these courageous individuals and the 12-month spiritual, mental & emotional journey they’ll soon be embarking upon? Pray specifically for:
- Vision & Direction as they seek to clarify God’s call on their lives
- Creativity as they translate their passion onto paper for others to read & critique
- Confidence as they practice oral presentations & implement suggestions for improvement
- Opportunities to share their message with many receptive audiences, and for their diligent labor to produce an abundance of spiritual fruit!

We read it together, and I just wanted to say regarding your insights on pornography -- I struggled for 15 years with an addiction to porn, and you hit the nail on the head about the root issues. It’s all about the “come get me!” looks on the women’s faces, and their willingness to reveal their bodies for a quick adrenaline rush. Thankfully, my wife has finally begun to understand how important that feeling is to a man – to me! I never wanted to go begging for scraps on the streets, but I was starving sexually. Now that my wife is keeping me “well fed” with her sexual interest, I’ve no more need to go looking elsewhere for my highs. Thank you for the miracle you’ve inspired in our marriage!” |

In fact, one lady called her friend in a different state and had her run out and buy the book. She read it, and is now starting a study group at her own church! God has given me such a passion for women, marriages, and families, and the entire Every Woman’s Battle series has been such great “tools” in my ministry tool belt!
